About Me

Bridgette L. Threat is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) licensed by the Maryland Board of Social Work examiners, originally from Brooklyn, NY.  At a very early age, Bridgette experienced loss due to the untimely death of her mother to breast cancer. Later in life, Bridgette answered the call to serve her country by enlisting in the Army Reserves and serving faithfully for many years. Over the years, Bridgette has overcome many challenges which has allowed her to develop a deep sense of compassion for those experiencing the difficulties of life.

With a strong desire to help those experiencing loss, grief, and other socio-emotional difficulties, Bridgette pursued an advanced degree in social work. In 2010, she earned a bachelor's degree in Social Work and later earned a master's degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. After a deployment in 2011, Bridgette began working as a Social Worker in the Cancer Center at a local hospital where she found herself drawn to the area of grief recovery. This led Bridgette to further her education earning a master's degree in Christian Ministries from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.

With a heart of compassion, Bridgette began serving as a Social Worker for a local area hospice organization where she provided individual and family grief counseling, Bridgette counts it an honor and privilege to enter into the lives of people and help them find their "Starting Point" as they begin their road to restoration.

Bridgette resides in Maryland and enjoys life with her husband Felix, their four children, and four grandchildren.
